Getting Started How do I Change my Hosting Control Panel Password?
Overview
As a matter of course, you should change your Hosting Control Panel Password at least once every month or two.
Instructions
1. Log in to your Hosting Control Panel.
2. Scroll down to the Website Statistics section and click on the link:
3. On the next page you will see fields for you to enter the current password,
and also to enter and confirm what you want the new to be. You will also need to enter a 'captcha' (validation) code:
NB: we recommend a password 8-12 characters long using a mix of numbers as well as upper and lower case letters.
4. Click on the Change FTP Admin Password button to then reset the password.
NB: you cannot reuse a password you have used previously: if you try to do this the system will reject the change (with a 'fails history check' error message displayed).
Please note: if you have a Sitebuilder hosting package, you CANNOT change the password yourself: you will need to submit a Support Ticket Request detailing what you would like the new password to be.
